My Dream Job.

I have so many interests so this is hard for me but If I could pick any job in the world it would probably be a manager, designing magazines in one of the largest corporate offices in a big city. But I also love helping people, so another job I would like to do would be going to Africa and any other place where there are sick and starving people that cannot help themselves and be able to have a crew to with me to help these people. These 2 jobs probably wouldn't be so easy to do, so I would be happy if I could have my own tanning salon or coffee shop.

When Words Get in the Way

Writing from Reading
"When Words Get in the Way"
When Clarke said, "looking in a mirror where everything appears the same, except it's reversed." He means that there's more meaning to every word except one. For example: When his elderly neighbor Mr. Gabinsky greeted Clarke with "hey there, young boy, how is the family doing today?" Clarke thought it was commonplace for elderly people to refer to younger adults as "boy" or "girl." Clarke's other neighbor told him that it also can be taken as derogatory when used by a white neighbor because the "B" word has its roots in slavery.
Another statement is "minority contract" This word almost always used in the context of racial classification. Also Clarke didn't know that you don't just find milk in a shop but also in a store.

How you can get most of you're time at Butte College.

How I feel that I can get the most out of my time at Butte College this semester is to make sure that I visit my councilor often, and also have one of my BCIS instructors help me with scheduling my classes. Our instructors can help you as well as our councillor with determining what classes I will need to take for your degree. I found it also to be helpful to attend some of the skills workshops that are on campus. It always helps to ask a lot of questions. The EOPS office can answer a lot of my questions about getting help with books, financial aid, grants, counseling, & the care program. It also helps to make sure that I don't take a lot of unnecessary classes which will take me longer to graduate.
